Agroalimentary Exports Break Record, Reaching $39.272 Billion: Sader
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader) reported that agroalimentary exports from Mexico reached a record of 39.272 billion dollars in September, marking a 4.39% increase compared to the same period the previous year. This achievement represents the highest value in the last 31 years.
During the first nine months of 2023, the surplus of the agroalimentary trade balance grew by 20.48%, reaching six billion 94 million dollars. Agroalimentary trade totaled 72.450 billion dollars during this period. Mexico has strengthened its export capacity with 14 free trade agreements, creating opportunities and favorable conditions.
Exports of agroindustrial products increased by 5.02%, with a surplus of five billion 743 million dollars. Beverages, vegetables, and fruits led the exports, while products with the highest increase in sales included bovine cattle, grapes, coffee preparations, cucumbers, and fresh cabbages.
