Mexico and France Agree to Enhance Commercial Relationship
In a significant milestone for trade relations between Mexico and France, representatives from both nations convened during the celebration of the 140th anniversary of the Franco-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI France Mexico) on April 9, 2024. During this gathering, an agreement was reached to strengthen collaboration between the two countries, focusing on identifying and harnessing opportunities in regions with high economic growth potential.
The initiative announced during the press conference involves the opening of four new local representations of CCI France Mexico in Jalisco, Veracruz, Sonora, and the State of Mexico. The primary objective of this measure is to boost economic development in these regions and foster the expansion of bilateral trade relations between France and Mexico.
David Ribot, Vice President of CCI France Mexico, underscored the importance of this joint effort to support both French companies established in Mexico and Mexican companies interested in internationalization. Ribot highlighted CCI France Mexico’s commitment to serving as a strategic ally for the Franco-Mexican community, facilitating its integration into the local market, and promoting its growth internationally.
Xavier de Bellefon, President of CCI France Mexico, highlighted the organization’s challenges and objectives, including anticipating business needs, supporting the development of its associates, promoting brands nationally and internationally, and fostering Franco-Mexican business communities. De Bellefon emphasized the importance of active collaboration between CCI France Mexico, the Embassy of France, and the Consulate General of France to strengthen trade ties between both countries.
This agreement reflects the ongoing commitment of Mexico and France to strengthen their trade relations and promote economic prosperity in both nations. By leveraging the vast economic potential of various regions in Mexico, as well as the expertise and resources of French companies, a new chapter in bilateral cooperation is opened, with the shared goal of driving economic growth and job creation.
