New Provisions in CFDI Demand “Zero Errors” in Logistics and Transportation
The implementation of the Digital Fiscal Voucher via the Internet (CFDI) 3.0 with the Carta Porte (CCP) supplement is posing significant challenges for foreign trade in Mexico.
The customs authority is demanding “zero errors” in the Carta Porte supplement data, leading to logistical and transportation issues. Transporters must provide precise information about vehicles and operations, with any changes now requiring modifications in the Document for Customs Clearance Operations (DODA). This stringent approach has resulted in difficulties, such as the inability to withdraw goods at the port of Manzanillo due to the lack of CCP.
Moreover, the lack of precision in data, sometimes attributed to errors in Carta Porte supplements generated by local transporters, has caused delays and complications in submitting information to the customs authority.
