Jalisco Gears Up for Export Boost with Strategic Initiatives
The Department of Economic Development (Sedeco) in Jalisco is set to announce a package of initiatives on December 13 to boost the state’s exports.
These initiatives focus on diversifying international markets for Jalisco’s products and providing support and training to local businesses. The aim is to accelerate the export process and achieve an annual foreign trade growth of at least 15%. The package includes the Jalisco Export Award, commercial missions, individual support for companies, and participation in international fairs.
The president of the Mexican Council of Foreign Trade (Comce) West emphasizes the importance of market diversification, noting that Jalisco sends fewer exports to the United States compared to the national average, aiming to diversify towards South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
